“Continuing Promise 2022“ mission provides medical and humanitarian aid to the Caribbean and Americas.
The U.S. Marine Corps announced that it would continue its hospital ship mission known as “Continuing Promise 2022.” The humanitarian mission of 90 marine personnel provides hospital and veterinary services to partner nations in the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. The mission also provides training on topics such as disaster assistance to local practitioners.
Commanding General of the 2nd Marine Division Brigadier General Calvert Worth said the “ability to deploy Marines in support of Continuing Promise 2022 is an outstanding example of how the 2nd Marine Division remained ready for operations worldwide.“ He continued, “It is their continuous preparation for worldwide deployments through rigorous training and engaged leadership that made this possible.“
